STORMWATER NETWORK SURVEY

Fraser Thomas Ltd were engaged by Franklin District Council to undertake a survey to provide accurate positions and levels of numerous stormwater features.

This included surveying the positions and levels of specific features such as inlet and outlet structures, weirs and stream cross sections at pre determined points within the catchment. There was also a need to survey the level of dwellings, gully traps and septic tanks for properties that were considered high risk with regard to flooding levels.

With many features being heavily vegetated this gave a challenge to our surveyors to locate and then measure these features.

This data was then provided to our environmental engineers to be used for flood hazard modelling.

This project incorporated many stormwater features, posing accessibility challenges for our surveyors.
