Barry Brown - Principal For A Day

An annual event organised by COMET (a charitable trust established by Manukau City Council), Barry Brown, a prized Director of Fraser Thomas, was amongst other business and community leaders to be placed inside a school to be "Principal for a Day" (PFAD).

Having a strong interest in the local community and it's influence on the younger generations, Mr Brown was delighted to attend Wakaaranga Primary in Farm Cove, Manukau and experience a behing-the-scenes view of a principal's work.  Principal Brent Jenkin was quoted as saying:

"Principal for a Day, with Barry Brown from Fraser thomas Ltd, was an excellent opportunity to showcase our school and how we work.  Barry ahs a real interest in schools and was able to focus on areas of relevance.  He shared with us his fundraising expertise with Charitable Trusts, invaluable"

Feeling passionate about the future of our New Zealand children, Mr Brown was excited to have the opportunity to personally spend time within Wakaaranga Primary School.  He found the encounter mutually beneficial to both himself and the school, appreciating what a unique experience has been made available to him.  Mr Brown feels strongly that schools and the business community should work together to guide our education system towards tailoring a positive environment for children to learn and to strive, while discovering what options are available to them in the future.
